While I am still waiting for the port to finish to delete my LJ, there is something refreshing to going back to a site that is stripped down and works like LJ did circa 2005. Yes, it is very obsolete in some ways, but simple, effective, and consistent. I have less issues with it than current LJ, which is obsolete AND buggy, or with my public wordpress.

Playing with the interests, you can tell most of us on LJ/Dreamwidth are either young boomers, Gen X, Gen 'Y, very early Millennials. You can tell that because the media interests are dominated by trends from the late aughts.

Or it may mean that 2010 is when this form of blogging largely died.

Just an observation.
